Polish History of South Grafton

Background Information

Several years ago, a wonderful woman named Stasia Obara Rawinski approached me. She sought records and information pertaining to the Polish National Home Association (aka "The Polish Club") in South Grafton, Massachusetts, as she was writing the history of Polish Americans who immigrated to South Grafton in the early 1900's.

After providing her with the information she needed, Ms. Rawinski invited me to join in and assist.  Our project culminated with a book entitled "A History of the Polish American Community of South Grafton, Massachusetts".

The book was printed by Saltus Press of Worcester, Mass. An open house and book signing was held at the Polish Club in September, 1999. Soon thereafter, all of the books were sold!  The only remaining copies available were in all of the Grafton Public Libraries.

"A History of the Polish American Community of South Grafton, Massachusetts" is now available here online.  We hope you enjoy reading the book and viewing the pictures as much as Ms. Rawinski and I enjoyed working together and compiling this piece of South Grafton history.

Sincerely,

Joseph Kuras
